Since 2010, Operation E-Cycle, our oldest program, has provided nearly 60 Pittsburgh nonprofits with over 400 pieces of equipment at little or no cost. Moving Forward staff, members and volunteers solicit businesses, governmental agencies, and other organizations for laptops, desktops, servers, printers and other technology items that are marked for disposal or donation. (We are no longer excepting Windows XP machines.) The staff also arranges for these items to be picked up or dropped off at the Moving Forward office in downtown Pittsburgh. Because Moving Forward has 501(C)(3) non-profit status from the IRS, in most cases, these donations can be tax deductible for donors.
Parent Empowerment Network (PEN)
Moving Forward Pittsburgh, Inc., through its Parent Empowerment Network Program (PEN), offers the resources of a coalition of families who’ve struggled with learning challenges and giftedness. Our parent peer-support specialists understand where you are and can help you decide where to go next.
Are you stuck in a rut? Are you ending a relationship? Ready for a new career? Our Life Coaches can help you to design a plan for your future and execute that plan. It’s time to start that living that life you have wanted.

Moving Forward honors and respects Veterans for their service to our country. We offer Life Coaching for Veterans for the nominal fee of $10/hr through a grant-subsidized program.
We also walk Vetterans through the benefit application process. Millions of dollars every year go unclaimed by Veterans because they are not aware of what is rightly theirs.
Software Training for Non-Profit Staff
Many employees and constituents of non-profits are in need of computer application training. Our team of Non-Profit Trainers can help boost your organizations productivity.
